By

Are you an acne sufferer?  Join the club, as there are millions and millions of acne sufferers across the world!  And, with a bunch of different acne products out there, you really don't know what the best products are.  So, you figure you might go and do some research so you head to the internet because there is tons of great information online and you are hoping to find some good, solid acne product reviews.  But, then you start reading some of them and they sound too good to be true or it sounds as if someone is paying them to write that review.  So, how do you know if you can really trust any of these online acne product reviews or no?  You don't, but I will give you some tips of what to look out for so you don't end up buying a product just because someone said it is good.

Clearasil (along with any other acne product) COULD be good, but based on internet reviews, you may never know!

Internet Reviews & Affiliate Programs

The problem with the internet is that it is pretty much uncensored and people can say whatever they want.  Especially, with the invention of blogging platforms that are easy to use, people no longer need to know to build a website, they can just join a free blog website and start typing whatever comes to their mind.  And while this has been a great invention overall, it allows people to hop on and try to use those programs in order to spam and sell stuff.

And because the internet is a great place to make money online, people have started selling all kinds of products online, including acne products.  Because the internet isnt regulated by the FCC like television commercials are, people can say whatever they want about the acne product they are trying to sell.

There are ways to make money online called affiliate programs that people can sell stuff and make a commission from it.  So, acne product companies pay people a commission if they promote a product.  So what people do is work their way up in the search engines so when you are searching for acne product reviews you come to their site.  Then they get paid if you buy the product so they will try to tell you anything that they can in order to sell the product.  They may promise you the world and that it will solve all of your acne problems, even though it may not do a thing.

So What Can You Do?

The best thing that you can do is to use your better judgment. "If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is" is a good way to go about looking at things, especially online. Most reviews should also mention both the pros and cons about a product. If a product is good then they can tell a lot about how great a product is, but it won't work well for everyone and so they should point that out.

So, use your gut instinct before bringing out your wallet to use your credit card online.  That way, any acne product reviews that you see, you can use your better judgment for it before trying to find the best acne product for you.
