Great Money Making Ideas for Teens

Teens always want money, and often times they think it can just grow on tress, or it grows on their parent's tress, since they always ask their parents for money.  For a teen to start to make money is a great idea because it not only gives them ideas and opportunities to have some extra cash, it also builds business and entrepreneurial skills in them.  It can also really boost your teens' self confidence knowing he is earning his own money. They'll learn the basics of finances and spending and saving money.  Here are a few money making ideas for your teen to be able to make their own money:

If your teen likes to take care of their younger siblings or other people's kids when at a party or something, then babysitting can be a great idea for your kid to make some decent money. Many times, especially around the holidays when there are a lot of Christmas parties for work and stuff, people you know may want someone to watch their kids, and if your kid can be reliable, then they'll be able to make some good money. Babysitting is also good, because often times they can still do some school work once the kids have gone to sleep is they are still working. This helps the job to not cut into school work. And also, babysitting is commonly a job held by teenagers so it won't be weird or anything for your kid to get started with babysitting kids for other people.

Often times, a kid can do well for themselves by doing yard work for other people.  They can mow people's lawns or tend to people's gardens by watering it daily.  Also, during the fall, people usually need their leaves raked from the lawn, which is a job that your teen can easily do.  Also, during the winter, people hate to have to shovel snow, so that can be another job that your teen does to make money.  No matter what the season is you can find yard work money making ideas for your teen to earn a little extra cash.

If your teen likes animals or dreams of being a veterinarian, then this could be a great job for your child, and also it will look great on college applications for people looking into similar fields. Walking the pet, cleaning up after the pet, and bathing the pets can be great jobs that the owners don't necessarily want to do but that can be great teen money making ideas and opportunities.

This is a great idea for your teen if they like to cook and cook well.  Often times people love to eat and buy baked goods, so if your child can cook cupcakes and cakes, etc, then they can sell those.  Also, sometimes people work late and don't have time to cook meals when they get home, but they don't want to spend the money going out to eat because they want to eat home cooked meals.  You child could be someone's personal chef and cook them meals every night, and it won't be expensive for someone who would have went to go get fast food or to a restaurant anyway.
