How to Get Rid of Back Acne: Some Tips

By

If you are suffering from back acne, then it can sometimes be the worst kind. Although you and others don't actually see the acne breakouts, I bet you can feel it and it hurts, and so you are wanting to to know how to get rid of acne on your back. I will first show you some of the causes of back acne, and then I will go into some things that you can do in order to hopefully get rid of back acne and to prevent it from continuing to happen.

What Causes Back Acne?

Just like your face has sebaceous glands that produce sebum all day long, which can lead to acne breakouts.  Sometimes, if you are wearing clothing that is too tight or even wearing man-made fabrics, they can all lead to acne breakouts, because it doesn't allow your skin to breathe.  These garments keep the oil down into your skin and that clogs up the pores.   This leads to a build up of bacteria and that leads to inflammation, or pimples.

If you have long hair and it lays on your back, that can also lead to back acne breakouts because of the oils from your hair being on your back.

Back Acne Solutions

Washing or taking baths frequently is a great way to take care of back acne.  Make sure that you scrub your back, especially after doing exercise and what not.  A loofah will work well for helping you to gently scrub your back, while still helping you to keep it clean.  They also sell loofahs with handles so  that you can reach all of your back if you aren't too flexible.

Make sure that you dry your back properly.  This will help to make sure that you do not break out more.  the next step is to apply some benzoyl peroxide to your infected spots that have acne.  Give it enough time in order to allow it to absorb the BP and so it will allow your skin to dry, without becoming overly dried out.

Conclusion

The steps for preventing and getting rid of back acne are pretty easy to follow. You can be back acne free soon enough if you just follow these simple steps. Keep your back clean, and don't wear tight clothes, and you won't struggle with back acne anymore!
