Are you suffering from chronic acne breakouts but you are unsure where to turn?  Have commercial products failed you, or are they simply filled with many products you aren't sure if you want to use those on your face long term?  Well, you're not the only one.  Many people want to get rid of acne naturally, but they are unsure of what to do.  I will lay out some good tips for you to hopefully be able to finally be acne free and doing it in a natural way.

Use a Good Soap

Using the right kind of soap, and ensuring that you wash your face two times a day can do wonders for your skin.  The type of soap you will want to use is one that is pH neutral, as well as it being pretty mild.  Anything that is too acidic won't help your acne breakouts, nor will anything that is too harsh or abrasive.  Another type of soap that is recommended is one that is sulfur-based.  Stay away from harsh scrubs, brushes or spongers.  Also, washing your face more often or too much won't help at all.  This actually causes your skin to produce the sebum that causes acne breakouts in the first place.

Don't Irritate the Pimples

When you start to see an acne breakout, one of the first reactions is to try and pop the pimples by squeezing or prodding them or washing your face too hard.  All of will lead to the membranes in your skin braking, causing the acne sebum to spread out under your skin.  This, as you could imagine, leads to more acne breakouts.  This can also cause scarring to happen if scar tissue begins to develop after you have broke the pimples.

Drink More Water

In addition to many benefits that you will see from drinking water, is that you will notice that your skin starts to clear up if you are drinking water throughout the day.  As a little twist on the old apple-a-day cliche, "Eight glasses of water everyday will help to keep the acne away."  By drinking more water, it circulates throughout your body, which helps to wash away infections from the site of the acne breakouts which can lead to continued irritation.  The water that you drink also comes through your pores, which helps to keep your pores cleaned out from the excess sebum and dirt that can lead to acne breakouts.

While some of these tips aren't necessarily going to help to get rid of acne instantly, by incorporating these into your daily routine, you'll notice a drastic reduction in the amount of breakouts you have as well as how often your acne breakouts occur.

Exercise

Yes, exercise helps you to keep your face clear of acne.  As I said above, when water comes through your pores, it keeps them clean of dirt and acne-causing sebum.  What better way to get water coming through your pores than to break a sweat by exercising.  Doing moderate exercise helps you to not only lose weight, but to also keep your face clean.  it also causes your body to get rid of toxins better, and some of those toxins could lead to acne.

Conclusion

There are many ways to help you to get rid of acne, even if you want to do it naturally.  Follow these steps that I outlined above, and they will not only help you to clear up your current acne breakouts, but they will work as great preventative measure to help you to stay acne free!

Water is good for general health, but will do nothing for the hormonal imbalance that is at the root of acne condition and will not stop germs from multiplying either
